The October 3 premiere of “Supernatural” si still over a month away, but we do still have some details creeping in pertaining to just what we can expect from the story that lies ahead — especially the relationship that has blossomed between Sam and Dean over the years.
According to Zap2It, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are actually going to see their characters spend some genuine time apart this season as they work through some of the issues that are currently plaguing each of them. While the Sam storyline is at least somewhat shrouded in mystery, we have been hearing a bit more when it comes to Dean — specifically when it comes to his storyline that is going to revolve heavily around purgatory. We know that he is going to be spending a long stretch of time with a rather wicked character known as Benny the vampire in this world, and Sam is not going to be around to help him in any capacity.
At the end of the day, though, the fact that these two characters are spending some time apart does not mean that it will stay that way forever. Anyone who is familiar with this show already knows that the Winchester brothers are really the glue that keeps everything together, and it is hard to imagine this show without things working out in some way that their stories cross. It is going to be an interesting 23 episodes to watch — but with Jeremy Carver now at the helm, we are pretty confident that this is going to be a return to some of the glorious “Supernatural” of old.
