We’ve known for weeks now that former “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus was going to be gracing “Two and a Half Men” for a major guest-starring role, but now we are learning that the part is at least going to be a little bit different than we first expected.
In a press release Monday, CBS confirmed that Cyrus is going to be on two episodes of the CBS sitcom’s tenth and likely final season, and she will be taking on the part of Missi, who is described as “an old family friend of Walden’s who comes to visit for a week and develops a relationship with Jake when he comes home from the Army.” This is going to be the first major television appearance for Cyrus since she chopped off most of her hair in favor of a short pixie cut — and on a note more related to the story, it looks like the rumors about Jake actually competing with Walden for her affection are not exactly true.
While Miley has not had much experience in network television, her work on the Disney Channel along with the big screen are both pretty well-documented. She also has two film projects that have been sitting on the shelf for a rather long time — “LOL” (which she filmed with “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene) and “So Undercover” (which featured Jeremy Piven and her real-life good friend Kelly Osboune).
There is no word just yet on when Miley will actually appear on the sow, but her first appearance will come at some point this fall. In other words, you are probably not going to have to wait for too long following the show’s official premiere on September 27.
Are you glad to see that Miley’s deal is official now, and what do you think about the character that she is playing? If you want to know who else is going to be visiting the show this coming season, head on over to this link.
