Can you believe it is only five weeks now until the “Dexter” season 7 premiere? Yes, this is still an incredibly long wait … but at least these photos give you yet another reason to be excited, no?
More than anything else, these new publicity shots really seem to be representative of Debra Morgan’s worst dream come true. Jennifer Carpenter’s character almost looks internally horrified in some of these images, as if she is looking through someone and not even noticing that they are there. This mood certainly reflects her emotional mindset at the start of this coming season, as she now realizes that her adopted brother is hardly the man that she once looked up to and even loved in a romantic way.
Out of the images below, the one with the furniture in our minds stands out as the creepiest, mostly because it looks as though Dex and Deb are playing house in someone else’s home. It also creates that false sense of normalcy that is completely taken away by the other photo of Deb separated from her brother by a wall of saran wrap (his signature in many ways). While his secrets are transparent, there is still a wall there — and this photo does perfectly reflect that. (Is anyone else surprised that we have a photo of Deb looking glammed-up in heels?)
Season 7 of “Dexter” will premiere on Showtime Sunday, September 30 — and outside of the story about these two siblings, we are also going to see a tale involving a nightclub killing as well as the potential return of the Bay Harbor Butcher story from season 2. Dexter’s going to be rattled by having someone in the know, and it makes him more privy to making mistakes.
