If there is one thing that we can ascertain from the brand-new promo for “Glee’s” fourth season, it’s this — Rachel Berry is not exactly much of a fan of Kate Hudson’s dance teacher character Cassandra July.
In one of the show’s brand-new promos for the upcoming fourth season (premiering on September 13 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern), we have the chance to see Lea Michele’s character complain briefly about how difficult it is being in the same room with this woman while at NYADA — however, she is still someone she is going to have to impress if she wants to make it through the school with flying colors. Based on what we see here, the main problem with Cassandra as a teacher is that she is full of herself, and knows that she is probably a better dancer than just about anyone in the room.
There is also a brief song tease thrown into this promo for good measure, and it looks as though one of the songs that is going to be performed early on in this season is Jennifer Lopez’s “Dance Again” — which would have been perfect were the show trying to cross-promote “American Idol” last year. (Now, however, J.Lo has been replaced by Mariah Carey on the judging panel — cue someone singing “We Belong Together” in the spring!)
As we have previously reported, there is one person that Rachel is going to be able to turn to when it comes to getting advice on how to deal with this notoriously difficult woman — Dean Deyer’s new character of Brody. It’s not clear whether or not this will turn into a full-blown romance just yet, but we can guarantee that there will at least be a few sparks.
