‘America’s Got Talent’ review: Did Andrew De Leon, Sebastien advance?

The results are in for “America’s Got Talent,” and this was something that legitimately had us on the edge of our seats for the entire show. We literally did not have any idea who was going to end up being declared safe after the best show of the season — with one exception being Andrew De Leon, who was more or less a lock.

Here are the four acts that managed to advance on to the semifinals — and some of them are really rather shocking.

Sebastien “El Chorro De Oro” – Oh, the irony here. The judges spent all of yesterday talking about how a singer is not going to win this season … and then America voted for a singer to go through. Sebastien is talented, but we would have preferred to see Ben Blaque make it through based largely on the fact that what he does is at least different.

Andrew De Leon – In the biggest no-brainer of the night, Andrew advanced over Jake Wesley Rogers and Horse — two of the acts that we knew were going to be heading out the door. We still think he is the only singer left with a real shot at winning this competition.

Todd Oliver – So a funny thing happened with this choice. We were sitting here starting to make Spencer Horsman’s victory speech … and then he lost to a guy with some so-so jokes and a dog he uses as a puppet.

All That! – It’s rare that we disagree with 75% of America’s decision, but we do here. Jarrett & Raja did not even make it the judges’ vote, and they deserved go through more than either All That! or Lindsey Norton. We really don’t get what makes clog dancing, especially clog dancing we have seen on the show before, this appealing.

Do you think that America and the judges made the right choices? We want to hear some of your thoughts below! If you want to check out our full review of the performance show from Tuesday night, be sure and follow the link here.
