Roseanne Barr tells Jay Leno she’s ‘running for President’ (video)

Roseanne Barr either has some serious political aspirations, or she really just wants some extra publicity. Why? During a taping of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the comedienne stunned many by making the following announcement:
“I am running for President of the United States … I’m totally serious, ‘Cause I want to be part of the debates, because I want to represent the tax payer. In fact, I’m choosing the tax payers as my vice president.”
Barr adds to her “platform” by saying that if Sarah Palin can somehow run for elected office, then she may very well have a chance.
So could this actually happen? If this was actually going to happen (which the odds are very much against), Barr’s biggest problem would obviously be coming up with responses to key issues and actually showing that she has moved on from the behind-the-scenes collapse of her show.
Then again, all you have to know is that Roseanne’s going to run under the “Green Tea Party” ticket — which shows just how “serious” she is about this.

If she can develop a good stance on key issues, she may have a shot at winning. If it’s a joke; well I will follow the election just to hear what she has to say. I definitely think she has a good point about the two party system. It is completely ludicrous at this point and there are too many extremists (just look at the candidates running).
