How unhappy was Teresa Giudice about a certain phone call that her husband Joe was caught making on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Sunday night? Let’s just say that she did everything in her power to try and keep the episode from airing at all.
Speaking in a brand-new entry on her Bravo blog not long after he episode aired Sunday night, the reality star really decided to make all of her feelings known about the controversial scene — which saw Joe refer to his wife by a number of swear words while on the phone with a woman whose identity remains a mystery:
“I begged Bravo not to air it, but when you sign up for a TV show, you sign up to show everything, warts and all.”
She reiterated what she has said in many recent interviews that the comments Joe made were far from okay, but also added that the two are genuinely in a better place now than they were following a tense RV journey to Napa Valley that was designed to really get the worst out of many of the cast members:
“Joe and I are happy together now. He’s a great dad and a great husband and we still really like each other … Alcohol + camera = not a good idea. But believe me, if he talked to me like that regularly, we would not be together. I don’t know why the camera (and alcohol) brings out the worst in him… it just does.”
With this final sentence, Teresa is obviously alluding to the fact that this is not Juicy Joe’s first rodeo when it comes to doing something that has angered both her and many of the show’s devoted fans. However, she has chosen to stand by him every time — and this is one of the few occasions where she did not fully defend him.
