On the first season of “Once Upon a Time,” one of the most significant moves made by executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis was to bring in so many characters that were already pretty well-known in the world of fairy tales. Unfortunately, there is still one caveat with that — unless you make the actors who play them series regulars, it’s likely that they are going to find other work. Thanks to this, their presence could be limited in the future for scheduling reasons above all else.
One character whose fate is still up in the air is that of Cinderella, mostly because Jessy Schram has parts in “Falling Skies” along with the upcoming ABC drama “Last Resort.” In a new interview with Small Screen Scoop, Schram did not hold anything back when it came to having a busy schedule — though she did add that she would be happy to come back into the world of glass slippers if the producers would have her:
“You know what, I’m not sure [about my future] because of the other shows. I know that it’s an open-ended story as well because all of our characters are still living in Storybrooke … There are so many of us in there, including Cinderella, and when the storylines match up to when she is needed, I’ll definitely be there.”
If Cinderella does return, the odds are that it will only be for just an episode or two based on how many other characters that there currently are to touch on — including the likes of Sleeping Beauty, Lancelot, Prince Phillip, Mulan, and Captain Hook. Add these to some of the other recurring characters from last year (including Grumpy and Dr. Whale), and the show has its work cut out for it.
