There was some rather sad news that came out of Rosie O’Donnell’s official blog on Monday. but there was at least a lesson at the end of it — sometimes you do learn things from watching commercials on TV.
In her post, the former host of “The Rosie Show” detailed that she was suffering from some symptoms after helping a woman get out of her car earlier in the day, and after reading up on some symptons online she quickly realized that she could be suffering from a heart attack. She immediately took some Aspirin (as commercials have suggested people to do), and it ultimately ended up saving her life. She had went to the cardiologist the next day, and quickly found out what exactly she had suffered from.
Speaking in a statement per People Magazine, Rosie’s rep Cindi Berger had the following to say:
“She is now home and resting comfortably … She is very, very lucky.”
It has certainly been an eventful past year for Rosie — she has gotten engaged to Michelle Rounds, who has also been diagnosed with a rare disease that has pushed back the couple’s wedding. Her primetime talk show had started up on OWN back in October of last year, but ultimately was canceled earlier this year after it failed to bring in the sort of ratings that Rosie and Oprah Winfrey were hoping for with the young network. Even in spite of this, though, Rosie remains a popular figure with her core demographic, and still uses her variety of digital outlets to speak her mind.
We’ll be sending all of our well-wishes Rosie’s way as she continues her recovery, and we hope you do the same by leaving a comment below! You can also check out some more news related to Rosie over at this link.
