We have some big news when it comes to the fourth season of “Glee,” but be warned in advance here — if you want to avoid spoilers, now is the time to look away.
The folks over at Vulture recently had the opportunity to check out some of the sets from the hit Fox series’ upcoming fourth season, and their general feeling was that this show is slowly starting to turn into the spinoff for Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) that was first talked about at Comic-Con in 2011 but later shelved. Kurt is going to be living with Rachel at some point following his move to New York City, and the show is largely about their struggles to succeed now. Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera are used sparingly in the first four episodes of the season, and we are only going to see some of the other graduating seniors on holidays and other major occasions.
As for some more general scoop, one of the steamiest numbers of the new season is going to feature Rachel singing “Oops, I Did It Again” by Britney Spears in a steamy number with Dean Geyer’s new character — one that is probably going to make Finn more than a little bit upset if he ever finds out about it. Meanwhile, Blaine (Darren Criss) will take on “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” as he struggles with trying to keep his mind occupied with Kurt halfway across the country. (Heather Morris will have an emotional number in the Spears tribute as she sings about missing Santana.)
Quite possibly the biggest surprise to us in this report from the set is that the show has even taken down Will’s apartment for the time being. Remember in season 1, when this show was really more about Mr. Schuester finding his place in life? Well, it seems almost like the show has decided to move on from most of his story away from McKinley now that he’s seemingly happy with Emma.
