The third preview for “American Horror Story: Asylum” has arrived online, and this one has officially managed to be even spookier and stranger than the first two. There’s no nuns or scenery shots this time around — but what we do have is one of the creepier-looking things that we have ever seen.
This new teaser (which was first posted on the show’s Facebook page) is entitled “Hydrobath,” and it is really hard to tell what exactly is going on here. Is it creepy? Definitely, and it has a sort of “eaten alive” theme that does not bode well for some of the characters that are going to be wandering through the 1960s insane asylum.
For those who have not heard much yet about this upcoming season, it will be is own self-contained story and feature many of the actors from the first season in completely new roles — including the likes of Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Zachary Quinto. Unfortunately, we haven’t really seen enough of them just yet to know about who they are or what sort of roles they are going to be playing outside of the time period and the location for the season in Boston. (Season 1 was set back on the west coast.)
What do you think about this new teaser, and do you wish that some of these were actually a little bit more relevant to the storyline? Be sure and share some of your thoughts below! The new season begins in October, though no official premiere date as been set as of this writing.
