‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Nick Jonas, Scotty McCreery

For our Monday morning edition of “American Idol” notes, we are going to start things off with the latest progression of Adam Lambert’s international “Trespassing” promotional tour — which has just left Japan after an action-packed week in the country.

So where is the season 8 star heading next? It’s none other than Australia, where he will have some more promotional gigs and performances (which is of course good for us, given that we will therefore have more content to show off here).

In speaking of content, the video we have to share now comes from the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka one day after Adam performed at a similar event in Tokyo. In addition to playing some great music here, he’s also busted back out the famous zebra pants!

Kevin Jonas endorses Nick – Adam is a contender to be a judge on season 12 of the show, and Nick Jonas has also been included in this same grouping as of late. So who’s endorsing him now? It’s none other than his older brother Kevin, who is the star of the new series “Married to Jonas” over on E!.

Speaking to MTV News in an interview, here is what Kevin (who did this interview along with his wife Danielle) had to say:

“I think he would bring insight to it, unlike a lot of people. At his age, he’s been able to accomplish so much and be able to do so many kinds of things, whether it was Broadway, whether it was like pop music, whether it was producing for other artists. Like he’s done it mostly all, so I think he can have his feet planted on the ground to be a good judge.”

Unfortunately, we have a feeling that interest in both Adam and Nick has cooled as of late, since most attention from Fox these days seems to be coming courtesy of Nicki Minaj  a country artist, and possibly Enrique Iglesias.

Scotty’s first class – For those of you looking for an update on Scotty’s life at N.C. State University, he just posted on Twitter that he has made it through his first class and that it went well. Scotty is attending the school as a way to ensure that he has a constant backup plan in case something happens with his music career … which still seems to be going really well at the moment.
