Are we going to see a different side to Maksim Chmerkovskiy on “Dancing with the Stars” this coming season? If you are to believe some new comments that the professional dancer is currently making, then the answer clearly seems to be “yes.”
In a new interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” the outspoken pro promised first and foremost that we would not see as much of an angry side to him this coming fall as he has shown off in the past:
“I’m going to go on the record and say that…you will never see [an angry] Maks ever again.”
Maks has been notorious over the years for being a tough teacher, and he has also be incredibly hard on the judges over some of their remarks in scoring his routines. As if his “bad boy” reputation was not enough, it has only been aggrandized by some of the recent rumors suggesting that the pro allegedly slapped former celebrity partner Hope Solo in the face during a heated moment rehearsing for the show. (Maks has since blasted the claims.)
Maks also had the following to say about this upcoming All-Stars season of the show, including some of his hopes to win the Mirrorball Trophy for the first time in twelve seasons on the show:
“It’s kind of like a bunch of sharks that you give a taste of blood to and now they’re back for more … I’m pretty sure that [those who won], are not going to want to give it up…For them, anything short of a win is a failed season because they’ve already gone so far…I’m hoping that we’re going to go all the way, and I’m hoping to get the trophy.”
Do you think that Maks has a pretty good shot at winning alongside Kirstie Alley, or do you think some of the current allegations against him are going to end up damaging him in some sort of major way?
