Adam Levine is already taking a big jump when it comes to “American Horror Story” season 2 (otherwise known by the subtitle “Asylum”), as he is choosing to make his acting debut on a program that is critically-acclaimed, challenging, and also more than a little bit frightening. With all of this in mind, he really didn’t feel the need so much to add “taking his clothes off” to the list of things that he is interested in doing this season.
Speaking in a new interview with PrideSource.com, here is what the Maroon 5 frontman (and coach from “The Voice”) had to say about not dropping trou — and what it was about being on this show that made he opportunity so enticing:
“I don’t think I’ll be getting naked on the show. There’s no nudity for me. But you’ll see: It’s definitely interesting.
“It’s so much fun. It’s a really special show to be a part of, and it’s been really fun and I’m very excited to see the results … I’ve never really seen myself do any of this before, so I’m a little wigged out about that – actually watching myself. I’ve gotten super into it and hope there are more cool things like that to come. And I’ve got a lot of blood on me!”
What we do know about Levine at the moment is that he is playing alongside Jenna Dewan a pair of characters known as “The Lovers,” and they are likely going to be doing plenty of other things that are romantic. Is it possible that there is some irony in this name, and they are not romantic at all? Sure, and we can never really put anything past a master of surprises like executive producer Ryan Murphy.
Season 2 of “American Horror Story” premieres on FX in October. What do you want to see happen here? If you want to check out the first trailer for the show, be sure and head over to the link here.
