We now have another episode title to share when it comes to the eighth season of “How I Met Your Mother” — and like many that have come before it, this one is choosing to highlight the fact that Marshall and Lily are now parents, and this is going to lead to a pretty major shift in the gang.
According to a new report from SpoilerTV, the upcoming fourth episode of this season has been tentatively titled “The Bro Code For Parents” — and given that it is following an episode entitled “Nannies,” it is possible that Marshall and Lily may have somehow found a perfect babysitter in one Barney Stinson. Now matter how you frame it, though, we can say one thing with the utmost certainty — the idea of Barney trying to take care of a child is going to be hilarious. We can already imagine little Marvin Waitforit Ericksen being taught the ways of womanizing, playing laser tag, and slap bets at an early age … and then we can imagine Lily trying to wipe his memory clean the moment Barney leaves. The real hope here is that despite a child entering the picture, the gang is not going to change — and finding ways to incorporate Barney into this family life is going to make sure that Marshall and Lily do not inadvertently distance themselves from everyone after having a kid (as has happened in real life on a number of occasions).
