So what’s going on? In a new entry on her official blog, Kim Kardashian’s 16-year old half-sister — who has already made a major splash within the modeling world — has signed for some sort of guest-starring role on an upcoming third-season episode of “Hawaii Five-0“:
“I am SO excited to reveal to you all that I am going to be making my acting debut on Hawaii Five-0!! My episode will air in October this year and I can’t wait to get started on filming.
“… This is such an incredible opportunity for me and I’m excited for this new experience!!!”
There’s no word just yet as to who Kendall is going to play on the show, but it makes perfect sense for her to sign on — it gives her an opportunity to try out a new skill, and also expand her talent with some viewers who may not even be aware of her relation to the Kardashian family. As for why the show would want her, the answer is pretty simple — ratings. The Kardashians have a devoted audience, and many of them are in a different demographic than CBS and this drama are accustomed to getting — young people. If Kendall helps to bring a couple hundred thousand new viewers to the series that did not watch previously, they may hope that some of these people will get hooked and stick around in the long run.
