‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6: Mayim Bialik talks return to set

Just as executive producer Bill Prady said it would happen following her car accident on Wednesday, Mayim Bialik returned to the set of “The Big Bang Theory” yesterday in order to dive back into the work week — and luckily, she had the support of just about everyone around her.

In a post on Twitter on this very subject Thursday here is what the newly Emmy-nominated actress had to say:

“How much do I get love and support from the big [bang] cast and crew? I went to work today :-) doing ok. Grateful. And tired.”

There were all sorts of reports out there as to how serious her hand injury was following the accident — there were initially claims that he could end up losing a finger, but she managed to have it taken care of without a problem. While we could sit here and argue over whether or not this injury is “minor” or “major,” the real point is that she is well enough (even in spite of the pain) to be back on set and filming some scenes as Sheldon Cooper’s girlfriend Amy Farrah Fowler. The two took their relationship to the next level at the end of season 5 — or at least as much to the next level as someone like Sheldon can take it — so we are already interested in and excited to see what sort of dynamic will exist for the two this time around.

The new season of “The Big Bang Theory” will premiere on CBS on Thursday, September 27 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. Are you happy to see that Mayim is already back at work, or is there a part of you wishing that she had stayed home and gotten a little bit more rest?
