Ever since the end of the Summer Olympics in London earlier this month, decorated swimmer Ryan Lochte has really set one goal for himself moving forward — move to Hollywood and try to start up a career in show business. We already know that he has booked a role on “90210,” but there have been two shows that he has been explicitly campaigning for in “The Bachelor” along with “Dancing with the Stars.”
So has Lochte changes his stance on one of them? If nothing else, he is being a little bit more diplomatic. In an interview Thursday night on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the swimmer claimed that if an offer to be “The Bachelor” came in, he would want to “talk it over with [his] family” before actually making any sort of firm decision on the subject.
As for being on “Dancing with the Stars,” Lochte still seems as though he is locked in for the gig so long as his schedule allows for it in the spring. We are still sure that producers behind the ABC hit are finding some sort of feasible way where they can pit Lochte against his former swim team member in Michael Phelps — who has also expressed some interest in the gig. Then again, we think this is what the network would want for ratings — but they could opt instead to just put the two on separate seasons in order for them to not cancel each other out in the voting.
Do you think Lochte would be suited to do either — or both — of these shows in early 2012? We want to hear some of your thoughts below! To check out some more news about executive producer Mike Fleiss, be sure and read the story here.
