Since the passing of Stieg Larsson, fans have been wondering if this means the end of the ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ book series. Well it looks like fans are going to be disappointed, because the author’s girlfriend, Eva Gabrielsson has said it’s unlikely that there will be a fourth book published.
“There’s the beginning of a fourth novel. I would estimate it to be about 200 pages, given what I saw in late August during our last vacation, and given what I knew of Stieg’s workload in his last two months. It probably doesn’t hang together. Stieg was a spontaneous writer, he could write scenes and not knit them together until later on – he just liked the scene. You can’t call it a novel.”
There was a buzz around the possibility of a fourth book being published if Larsson’s estate agrees, but it doesn’t sound like its happening. You can check out the ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ movie coming to theaters in December. The film stars Daniel Craig, Robin Wright, and Christopher Plummer and is directed by the incredibly talented David Fincher.
