The cast of “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” has already started to rehearse, and unfortunately for one of the performers this means one thing — that an injury has already surfaced.
Speaking in a new interview with E! News, Gilles Marini — who lost his season to Shawn Johnson in one of the most controversial finales ever — had the following to say about what is ailing him:
“I hurt something already … I think it’s the MCL. But who cares! I will still dance.”
Gilles is one of the stars participating in this season who is not paired with their original partner. He danced with Cheryl Burke last time, and on this season she is working instead with one of her former champions in Emmitt Smith. With this in mind, Gilles is teaming up with someone in Peta Mugatroyd who brings her own fair share of attributes to the table. After all, she is fresh off of winning the spring season with Donald Driver as her partner.
When Gilles appeared on this show, he was at that point a relatively-unknown actor whose claim to fame was a very revealing part in the “Sex and the City” movie — however, since that time he has gone on to star in “Brothers & Sisters,” and has made guest appearances on the likes of “Switched at Birth” as well as ABC’s hit “Modern Family.” (In other words, this network is keeping him very much a part of their family.)
How do we think Gilles will fare this season? You are just going to have to wait until our spotlight of him next week to find out — however, you can for the time being check out some of our other pieces in this series by visiting the link here.
