On Thursday night, MTV broadcast its much-anticipated interview with Robert Pattinson, and in the process we learned a few interesting things about the actor when it comes to his TV obsessions — namely, that he loves “Cops.”
What is fascinating to watch from an entertainment perspective what Pattinson is that we are pretty sure that there is no one who dodges and ducks around questions better than this guy. Whenever he has been asked this week about his personal life — in particular related to the recent Kristen Stewart cheating scandal — he has been able to either flip it into a comment on his upcoming movie “Cosmopolis,” or into some self-deprecating joke. Take for instance during this MTV chat — when he was asked about his personal life, he joked that this is the sort of thing you have to pay the “big bucks” in order to get a solid answer. (Even if he was offered money, we still really don’t think he’d bit on talking about it — after all, he never talked about Kristen even during happy times.)
Some of Pattinson’s other TV stops this week have included the likes of “Good Morning America” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and he can at least claim that he kept his end of the bargain after scheduling these TV appearances long before the Stewart scandal first unfolded recently.
What do you think about the way that Robert has handled himself on TV this week, and do you think using humor is a good move in order to deflect questions about the scandal?
