With all of the departures last season on “Grey’s Anatomy” in between Chyler Leigh and Kim Raver — and with Eric Dane leaving after the first two episodes of the coming season — we know that we are going to see some new faces. While the following casting may or may not permanent, it’s still a named from a much-loved show to get excited about.
According to a report from TV Guide, Tina Majorino of “Veronica Mars” fame is set to appear in at least one episode of this coming season as an intern named Heather. The twist? The hospital we are talking about here may or may not be Seattle Grace. As Zap2It ever so carefully notes, some of the doctors from the show were contemplating a move to other cities at the end of last season, and it’s possible that we could just around from one location to the next at times this coming season. (At the end of the day, though, we would be stunned if the doctors stay apart forever.)
Majorino joins Gaius Charles and Camilla Luddington as guest stars announced for the new season — though what is interesting here is that she and Camilla share a connection courtesy of their presence on this season of “True Blood.” However, the two parties never ended up working together — Luddington has a small part as the fairy Claudette, while Majorino played the Vampire Authority tech guru Molly for six episodes this season before getting (spoiler!) killed off last Sunday for refusing to accept the new mantra with Lilith as a sort of vampire savior.
