For those of you who have been concerned with the status of John Noble and “Fringe,” we now have some good news — after a couple of weeks off in order to take care of a sleeping disorder, the actor has now returned to set and is feeling better than ever.
Speaking in his first interview since returning to the set with Entertainment Weekly, the Australian actor had the following to stay about his status, and how he was suffering after a busy schedule traveling around the world started to take its tole on him:
“I couldn’t even think, mate … I was working and going: ‘This is really hard.’ … People were so bloody supportive, it was really touching. I’m feeling more well rested now and sleeping better than I have in 20 years.”
Noble underwent treatment in order to cure the problem in Los Angeles, and has since returned to Vancouver where the hit show films. Season 5 is going to be the last for “Fringe,” and its thirteen-episode run should be over at some point early next year after the show presumably takes some brief breaks thanks to both the World Series in late October and the holiday season. While it is not necessarily a ratings warrior, it is critically acclaimed — and allowing the show to come to its rightful finish may be a move of goodwill by producers after they completely and totally botched their handling of “Firefly” a decade ago. For those who have not heard, these episodes are going to flash back forward to the events seen in the “Letters of Transit” episode during season 4.
