For those of you wondering whether or not Mayim Bialik’s recent car accident was going to have any impact on her “Big Bang Theory” shooting schedule this season, there’s some good news — she is going to be getting back to work sooner rather than later.
In a post on Twitter following the accident Wednesday — and after it was revealed that Bialik was not going to lose any fingers as a result of the crash — executive producer Bill Brady announced some rather good news:
“Report on Mayim is good. She’s expected to be at rehearsal tomorrow … Yes, Mayim will be at work with all ten fingers.”
The actress has seen her character of Amy Farrah Fowler have an increased presence ever since being made a series regular just over midway through the show’s run, and is inching closer to appearing in almost every episode. Earlier this summer, she became the first female star of the show to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the supporting category, and she may even have a pretty good shot at winning it.
As for just where we are likely to see Amy during this coming season, she is going to be in an official relationship now with Sheldon as she was during the latter part of season 5. We anticipate that this will continue to cause a plethora of issues, as she is effectively having to compromise being with someone who is incapable of intimacy or loving someone else in a traditional way.
Hopefully, we’ll have some more scoop on Mayim to share soon — but for now, we’re just happy that she is on her way back to work. If you want to check out some more scoop related to the actual plot of the show this coming season, be sure a pay a visit to the link here.
