As you may have heard in one of our recent stories, “Last Man Standing” has been forced into recasting the role of Kristin’s baby daddy — mostly due to the fact that they want to give him a larger role this coming season, and Nick Jonas may be too busy being under consideration to be the next “American Idol” judge.
So who is coming to step in to play this role? According to a report from TV Guide, recent “Greek” grad (pun intended) Jordan Masterson is set to appear on a recurring basis during the upcoming season. The role has been expanded in order to give Tim Allen’s Mike Baxter someone else to talk to — which is in some cases fairly ironic once you consider the fact that the show is supposed to be about a man with no one to talk to.
Ultimately, season 2 of “Last Man Standing” is going to be an interesting experiment for ABC. In an attempt to relaunch their once-popular “TGIF” lineup, both the show and Reba McEntire’s “Malibu Country” are going to be airing on Friday nights starting in November. Younger children will probably be home, and these shows will give families an opportunity to spend a little bit of time together. They are also such programs that do not require a commitment, since most episodes are capable of standing on their own.
For those curious, the role of Kristin has also been re-cast on the show. What do you think of Jonas’ replacement, and are you planning to watch following the move to Fridays? We want to hear from you below! To check out more on who the show is bringing in for this new season, be sure and read the story over at this link.
