‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2: The Little Mermaid quest lives on

While there are a number of characters coming up on “Once Upon a Time” season 2 that just about everyone is excited to see (including Captain Hook and Sleeping Beauty), there are a few others that we are still hoping will appear — and one of them is a certain classic character from under the sea. Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” has been talked about by producers and fans since early on in season 1, but we still don’t know if the story is ever going to happen. We have a feeling that budget-wise this may not be an easy story to do, but it would give us a taste of the fairy tale world that we have not seen before.

While there’s still nothing definitive out there suggesting that this story will happen, there is an actress more than interested in the part — especially since some fans have been clamoring for her to appear for almost six months now. In a chat with E! News, here is what Joanna Garcia (“Reba,” “Better With You”) had to say about giving this role a shot:

“That show is exceptional. Jennifer Morrison is one of my dearest friends. I would love to do the show. I just think the show is incredibly crafted and well-acted. The masterminds behind it are so extraordinary. I would love to do it. It’s on my wishlist!”

If she was to sign on for the show (we’re trying to will it to happen), we wonder just how much of Atlantica we would end up seeing. Would we see King Triton or Ursula the sea-witch cast? The latter would give us another villain, and we can almost surely count on the Prince turning up at some point.

Are you begging for a Little Mermaid storyline, and who would you want to see in the role? If you want to check out some more scoop pertaining to Captain Hook, head on over to this link.
