It’s been a pretty busy day for the cast of “The Big Bang Theory.” Not long after the news broke that a certain star from the show in Mayim Bialik was hospitalized following a car accident, we now have some scoop specifically pertaining to a former star jumping on board a USA series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Aarti Mann — who is best known for playing Raj’s sister and Leonard’s former love interest Priya on the hit CBS sitcom — has now landed a guest-starring role on USA’s critically-acclaimed series “Suits.” In the first episode of the show’s upcoming winter season, Mann will play the part of Maria, who is a coveted recent graduate of Harvard Law School that Louis is going to set his sights on to be a new associate of his. Will he actually end up nabbing her? Considering that Louis does not always exactly exactly what he wants on this show, we’re still a little doubtful.
For Mann, this is really a rather significant guest role. With this in her back pocket, she can show that there is more to her as an actor than just comedy — and although her resume does include some work of varying genres, “The Big Bang Theory” is really the show that allowed her to enter the public eye a little bit. Meanwhile, “Suits” gets a performer here with some potential crossover appeal if people enjoyed the work she did alongside Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nayyar.
