For those of you looking for at least some answers to the mysteries in “American Horror Story,” we at least have one — the identity of Zachary Quinto’s character on the hit FX anthology series.
According to TVLine, the former “Heroes” and “Star Trek” star is not going to be playing a patient within Jessica Lange’s hospital for the criminally insane at all; instead, he is going to be playing a doctor. Quinto tells the website that this time around, he will be taking on a part that is far more”grounded and in control” than what he took on the first time around. After making only a few sporadic appearances last season as Chad, Quinto is now a series regular — meaning that we should expect to see plenty more from him
It’s actually pretty rare that we even have some sort of confession from anyone as to what sort of character that they are playing on the show — most cast members have been kept under a tight lock and key not to disclose much information, and really all we know about Jessica Lange is that she is going to be playing a nun who is helping to run this asylum. The setting is 1960s Boston, and there also still is someone that she is going to be reporting to that we still do not know much in the way of information about.
Some of the other cast members for this season include Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan (playing a pair known as “the lovers”), returning stars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, and even some surprise names such as Mark Consuelos. It’s a gifted cast of people from all over the entertainment spectrum, and now the excitement is seeing if they can all come together.
