Let this be a warning to all future reality stars out there looking for a little bit of publicity — if you are trying to create some drama courtesy of some of your comments, it’s probably better that you make sure that the quote you are attacking them on is something that they actually said.
In a post on Twitter recently, Jenelle Evans of “Teen Mom 2” fame (who is a frequent tweeter of all things reality TV) tried to make her feelings known about a quote that Snooki made while on a late-night talk show. The problem? The “Jersey Shore” star — who, save for maybe Pauly D, is the most-popular reality start on all of MTV — never actually made the remarks in question about hos she would never cook for her baby boy or change his diapers after he is born. (She is expected to give birth in a matter of weeks.)
“omg, no offense… but yu call ME a bad mother… but look what
@snooki said about her baby… thats straight F—D UP”
Snooki at first didn’t have anything to say about the comment, but eventually came on her Twitter and responded (albeit indirectly) with the following reply of her own:
“FYI, I can’t wait to change my kids sh—y diapers & I don’t even believe in maids. Just sayin.”
While this seems to have resolved this fight for the time being, there is still one major question worth asking — what was really the point of this to begin with? Why should reality TV moms get in each other’s business?
