‘Jersey Shore’: rumors about Vinny’s walk-off reportedly overblown

It’s not so bad…

Even though much of the talk Thursday is surrounding the upcoming fourth-season premiere of “Jersey Shore,” we are going to take a brief break away for a moment and look ahead to season five, which literally just wrapped up filming.

While we don’t necessarily know a great deal about some of the specific events from this season, one of the stories that did make major highlights was the sudden move by Vinny Guadagnino to walk about the show only to return a week later.

Was this move influenced in any way by the fifth season of the show filming immediately after the cast returned from Florence? Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer SallyAnn Salsano suggests that she doesn’t exactly think so — and she also feels the same way about rumors that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was also going to say goodbye:

“I can only say that I’m so grateful for all the press but it’s always fun for me to watch what’s going on in the press and knowing what’s really happening in the house. So for me, no, I don’t think it has anything to do with that. I think what happened with Vinny and with what people are speculating with Mike would’ve happened whether or not there were five weeks in between seasons or not.”

On season four, we can safely say that there will not be any walkouts — after all, it’s hard to go anywhere when you are on the other side of the world. Check back later for a full recap of the premiere!
