We’ve heard previously that the season premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” is going to jump beyond what happened in the tragic plane crash last May — and based on some new set photos that have surfaced, we seem to have even further proof of just that.
If you head to this link, you can see what appears to be a rather personal conversation between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) outside of Seattle Grace — and the kicker here seems to be a pretty big one. While neither one of them sustained any live-threatening injuries from the crash, neither one of them seems to have any sort of bumps or bruises at all. Does it mean that a decent amount of time has passed between the premiere and the crash? It’s at least enough time for some of these doctors to have gotten their heads back on straight again.
Could this photo involve the doctors pondering their future? There was a massive cliffhanger at the end of the last season in that we didn’t know just who was going to remain in Seattle, and a good many people all had some pretty incredible opportunities to seek worse elsewhere if they chose to. Shonda Rhimes has promised that all of these answers — including how Eric Dane’s character of Mark will be written out of the show — will be answered by the time the second episode of the season airs.
Do you think Meredith and Cristina are better suited to be working together in Seattle, or would it be good for them to spread their wings a little bit in other places? Also, how much time do you think has passed between the season finale and the premiere? We want to hear your thoughts on all of this below!
