Earlier Thursday, we wrote about a rather surprising (and touching) tribute that Coldplay gave to the late Amy Winehouse during a concert Wednesday night in Los Angeles. There were plenty of students present from nearby UCLA to listen to the popular band’s music, and we have also now learned that the crowd included a certain big-name celebrity.
According to new reports, Lindsay Lohan managed to leverage her relationship with frontman Chris Martin in order to get tickets to the concert for both herself and her sister Ali. Before the show, Lindsay contacted Chris (who has been a friend for many years) and made the ticket request, and he was consequently happy to oblige.
Both Lindsay and Coldplay have some major plans coming up. For the band, they are in the process of putting out some new music via the single “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” — meanwhile, Lindsay is in the process of getting her life together after near-constant legal troubles have plagued her for the past year.
At the end of the day, this story proves that sometimes, you can never discount having very famous friends in the right places.
