Can you believe that there are only three more episodes in this summer run of “Breaking Bad“? It’s not even that much of a stretch to say that it feels almost like the show just premiere yesterday.
It also looks, based on the first promo for Sunday’s new episode, like showrunner Vince Gilligan is not going to delay all of the major shockers until the series returns to wrap itself up next summer. Mike seems to be no longer interested in working with Walt and Jesse thanks to the DEA, Walt seems more interested in the notion of having an “empire” than either money or the end product, and, most importantly to us, Marie is starting to get very suspicious as to how the children could be in “danger” living with Walt and Skyler. She’s obviously achieved her primary goal in keeping her kids out of her house, but she is going to have to do something in order to justify to Marie and Hank why they have to continue to take care of them even after she and Walt have taken some time to “get better.”
At some point, we do see Skyler realizing that it may be better to go to prison for a time for laundering money in comparison to the prison that Walt has created in her home, and maybe we are nearing the point where that happens — it’s either that or Marie has done a little bit of digging on her own and figured out that there is more going on here than Skyler seemingly attempting to take her own life.
What do you think is going to happen over the final three episodes, and could you see Skyler trying to turn Walt (and consequently herself) in? If you want to go back and read our review of Sunday night’s episode, pay a visit to the link here.
