With the September 12 premiere of “The X Factor” now less than a month away, be sure to expect more when it comes to “notes” of this show than ever — which will be following the tradition of what we did with “American Idol” when it was in season.
In this edition, we are going to be looking in particular at a new music video from one of the season 1 standouts, along with some more comments about Britney Spears as a judge from someone who knows her rather well.
Chris Rene’s “Trouble” video – First and foremost, let’s share off the official video Chris has debuted for his new single following the success of “Young Homie.” It’s really a great song especially for the time of the year we are in — it’s catchy, breezy, and could even be construed as a love song for women out there who like to refer to themselves as “Trouble” in the way in which Rene means it in the show.
Really, this video works by being just about exactly what you would expect — Rene spending time with a love interest, who does his best to stay constantly inside of his head to the point that he can’t stop thinking about her.
Christina Aguilera speaks out – We also have some more comments to share from Christina Aguilera of “The Voice” when it comes to how new judge Britney Spears is going to fare alongside Simon Cowell this coming season — and despite their supposed rivalry over the years, the “Beautiful” singer chose to keep it classy while talking to reporters at a press event in Malibu:
“I came up with Britney, we were very close … Our paths have always crossed. They’ll continue to cross. I welcome her to this family of fun and entertainment and finding new talent. Britney’s a pro. She’s going to give great advice.”
