We are going to see some pretty heavy stuff unfold in the early episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” this coming season, and one moment that may very well have many people well up in tears is seeing the end of Eric Dane’s character of Mark Sloan after being such an integral part of this series for so long.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have any idea as to whether or not the character is going to die following the plane crash last season, or depart via some other unusual method that we do not see coming. All we can really say for sure is that based on what Chandra Wilson just had to say in a chat with TV Guide, fans should feel happy with how he rides into the sunset (at least more so than what we had with Lexie):
“They’ve come up with a really creative send-off for Mark, especially for the die-hard Grey’s fans. Eric gets the chance to do some really beautiful stuff in the first two episodes.”
As for her own character, Bailey does have a wedding coming up to Ben at some point this season — but Wilson says that this is not the sort of affair that you would expect to see on most other shows:
‘I’ve already done the wedding dress and the church and it didn’t work out.’ I have a feeling [her wedding] won’t be all that traditional.”
“Grey’s Anatomy” will return to ABC on Thursday, September 27 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we will have course have plenty more in the way of scoop every step of the way.
