Based on the first photo from Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman adaptation “Man of Steel,” we can officially say one thing with the utmost certainty — Superman is rocking a longer hairdo than in the pas.
There’s not a lot here to talk about when it comes to the background, so let’s instead focus primarily on the costume. Actor Henry Cavill (even with the thicker hair) does seem to certainly look the part, and his stance suggests both a sense of simultaneous power and peril.
As for the suit, it appears to be some sort of combination of what we saw from Brandon Routh’s Superman character (with the more muted color scheme) alongside some of the texture made famous from the Tobey Maguire “Spider-Man” films. The things specifically worth noting here are that the “S” symbol is raised above the rest of the costume, and that the shadowing of the photo prevents us from seeing the famous red tights (which have been removed in one new upcoming comic).
Based on this photo alone, are you more or less excited about the new movie?
