Julianna Margulies is going to be seeing a familiar face from “The Sopranos” stop by during the upcoming fourth season of “The Good Wife” — though ironically, the two actresses never actually spent any time working with each other during their respective stints on the show.
According to a new report from TVLine, actress Annabella Sciorra — whose credits also include the likes of “The L Word,” another Margulies show in “ER,” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” — has been booked to play the role of a tough lawyer who could be even mistaken as a twin for Margulies’ Alicia.
It’s actually pretty interesting all the casting connections that are here with this casting — in addition to all of the ties to Margulies, this is also a reunion for Sciorra and Chris Noth from heir “CI” days. Noth has been a major player on this show since the beginning as Peter, though he makes appearances more sporadically than our lead in Alicia.
Season 4 of the acclaimed CBS drama will be back on Sunday, September 30, and it is going to have some steep competition — not only will Sunday Night Football be going in full swing on NBC, but there will also be competition courtesy of the premiere of “Dexter” on Showtime at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time as well as “Revenge” — which is moving to the timeslot once occupied by “Desperate Housewives” this season.
