Ryan Murphy aims to please, and on Friday he did just that courtesy of a question-and-answer session with a number of “Glee’s” most-passionate fans on Twitter. He even chose to give it a theme — the concept of “shipping” that has become more prominent with his musical comedy than just about any other on the air.
Here are just some of the details he opted to share during the chat:
-For those of you who love Rachel and Quinn’s characters (even though they are just friends rather than a romantic couple), Murphy promises that the upcoming Thanksgiving-themed episode will be “Faberry heaven.” He also says that another Quinn pairing in Dianna Agron’s character and Puck will “always be friends,” though he was coy on if there was any hope for them being together after the kiss during the season finale in May.
-Lea Michele will have at least one more opportunity to kiss her off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith on the show, as Finchel will still be featured in spite of everything that has happened to them. As to when they will kiss, that is a very good question.
-Both Brittany and Santana and Kurt and Blaine are going to have some scenes this season, though it’s unclear how many given that there are now also going to be multiple cities involved.
-Artie will finally get a new girlfriend this season after being single for most of last year– now the question is just who it will be.
On some notes unrelated to romance or friendships, Murphy promised that the Warblers will be back (though we don’t know about Grant Gustin just yet), and the fourth episode of the season will be one that features most of the members of New Directions getting back together. At he end of the day, the executive producer says that he believes in happy endings — and if that is not good news for “Glee” fans, we don’t know what is.
