We have another new addition for the fifth season of “Castle” — but in this case, the role that they are playing is very much a mystery.
In a new post on Twitter, actor Kevin Daniels — best known for his part as Longinus on “Modern Family” — said that he was on the set of the ABC series alongside Seamus Dever (Ryan). He also later posted a photo of Dever alongside his onscreen partner-in-crime Jon Huertas (Esposito). Does this bode well that these two characters do end up getting their friendship back on track? It sure looks like it.
It may be easy to infer based on a photo Daniels posted of Dever and Huertas playing basketball together that his story is somehow tied to the sport — after all, he is a pretty tall guy at 6’5” — but it’s probably better off not to jump the gun on this one. Daniels joins another TV star in Caroline Lagerfelt (“Gossip Girl”) as guest stars for the upcoming fifth season — some of the most notable ones over the course of the show’s run include “Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron, rocker Gene Simmons, and Nathan Fillion’s former “Firefly” co-star Adam Baldwin (playing another tough guy who loves to shoot at things).
The new season of “Castle” will once again follow up another new season of the ABC ballroom competition on Monday, September 24, and expectations are high that the show will manage to create a good balance of drama, mystery, and fun.
