While most scripted shows have already kicked off production for the new fall seasons, we are now at the point where the final group is now getting to work — the sitcom actors. With that in mind, “How I Met Your Mother” fans have something big to get excited about.
In a new post on Twitter, executive producer Craig Thomas confirmed that the gang is getting back together for what could be the beginning of the show’s final season depending on how negotiations go for next year:
“HIMYM’s first Season 8 table read. Our amazing cast plus guest cast Tom Lennon, Ashley Williams, Becki Newton. We’s some lucky writers!”
The one piece of information in here (outside of the start of production) is that we are not going to have to wait long to meet Lennon’s character of Klaus — the man Williams’ Victoria chose to leave at the altar in last season’s finale in order to be with Ted. Somehow, we have a feeling that this is going to lead to Josh Radnor’s character possibly getting a black eye (mostly because any guy who got dumped like that would probably want to punch the man responsible in the face).
By the end of this season, it’s possible that we will find out who is the mother that Ted has been talking about all this time — and if nothing else, we will at least have a few more hints thrown are we about both this and the upcoming Barney / Robin wedding that is supposedly the setting for the big meeting. With that, hopefully we will at least find out just who the “mother” is in relation to why they are attending the wedding for two of Ted’s closest friends.
If this does not end up being the show’s last season, what do you want to see happen to set up the story for next year? We want to hear your thoughts below! To check out some more scoop on what Marshall and Lily will be up to this coming season, be sure and follow the link here.
