‘The Bachelor’ exec Mike Fleiss still debating on lead for 2013 season

Who could star next season? (ABC)

As a way to hopefully try and remove the bad taste of “Bachelor Pad” this season from our mouths, the master of all things “Bachelor” in Mike Fleiss is coming out with a promise — the decision for the next “Bachelor” is still being made.

In a new post on Twitter about this very subject, here is what Fleiss had to say:

“Still trying to figure out who should be the next bachelor. Not an easy decision…”

So who are the current candidates for the spot? As we’ve said time and time again, there are really only four major possibilities that we see happening here:

Roberto Martinez – He’s been speculated to be the favorite for quite some time, though he has also been off TV for quite a while following Ali Fedotowsky’s season.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. – He’s the racer with the heart of gold from Emily Maynard’s season — and not only is he still fresh in viewers’ minds, but he also had a job that yields well to reality TV.

Sean Lowe – He’s in many ways the safest pick. He’s good-looking, has southern values, and is serious about finding love. But is he really interesting enough for this show in terms of his life story?

Someone new – We can’t rule this out, and there is one person who is on our mind right now — Ryan Lochte. He’s single, young, and currently on the top of the world. He’s also looking to dive head-first into the following world.

Do you think any of these possibilities are good ones? We want to hear from you below! The new season of “The Bachelor” will presumably start filming in the fall, and should premiere on ABC at some point early next year.
