We already know that the upcoming fall season of “Dancing with the Stars” is going to be an All-Stars season — after all, we already have the full cast — but with the Olympics currently happening in London, there are plenty of people who are already talking about who could be on the show in the spring.
Who are two people who are candidates? Well, let’s just say that they are a pair of swimmers in Michael Phelps in Ryan Lochte. In the case of the latter, he has actually campaigned to be a part of the cast in the past few weeks — and The Hollywood Reporter claims that he has actually received a plethora of reality-show offers after expressing an interest in going to Hollywood and expanding his brand.
As for Phelps, meanwhile, he had the following to say about his interest in the show in an interview with Us Weekly:
“I haven’t really been known for my dancing. I know everyone who’s done it — I’ve talked to [former contestants] Apolo [Ohno] and Natalie [Coughlin] about it, and they said they’ve enjoyed it and had a blast. I won’t say I’m ruling anything out, who knows?”
“Dancing with the Stars” has never really cast two people who compete with each other in a sport on the same season, but it is something that they really should consider — after all, they are competitive, and both are huge stars in the homes of many Americans. This is the sort of stunt that could be ratings gold — which is the exact thing that NBC is saying about their (tape-delayed) games.
