There has been plenty of talk surrounding a number of characters on “Glee” this often, and in the midst of graduation and the Finchel breakup, it’s almost as though one of the show’s most-memorable characters has been lost in the shuffle in Sue Sylvester. Considering that she’s pregnant with a child from a mystery father, this is not exactly an easy thing to do.
Speaking to E! News at the recent Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne (where she was the master of ceremonies), here is what Lynch had to say about the child that Sue gives birth to:
“[She is] a beautiful baby girl who has Down syndrome and her name is Robin. Which to say hearkens thoughts of spring and new beginnings and her favorite Bee Gee.”
At some point within the new season, we expect to find out just who the father of this child is — but admittedly, there is also a part of us that somehow wishes that this could become one of those eternal TV mysteries that never really gets solved like what happened to Richie Cunningham’s older brother or the dog on “The Brady Bunch.” For a while, it seemed as though Rachel’s gay dads were going to be the mystery of this show, but we ended up meeting them back near the end of season 3.
Do you think that “Glee” should keep the father of Sue’s baby a secret, and are you still hoping that the character does find a way to keep a little bit of that “evil” in her despite now being a mom?
