Robert Pattinson to speak with Jon Stewart before ‘Good Morning America’

Mrs. Carter: Robert Pattinson’s going to be busy next week with a TV tour — though for many, it could be a game to wait and see which network tries to push him into talking about Kristen Stewart.

We wrote previously that the actor is going to be appearing on “Good Morning America” August 15 in a live interview promoting his new movie “Cosmopolis,” and now Gossip Cop has confirmed a date that is coming up before that — an August 13 chat on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” What we are the most excited about here is that this interview is going to probably not even touch on anything even remotely attached to his relationship woes involving Stewart’s infidelity with “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. People tend to forget how funny of an interview Pattinson is, and we can only imagine the sort of comedy that is going to come out of two smart people sitting down and presumably having a discussion about fame, the film, and possibly even the Olympics given that they are happening in Pattinson’s home of Great Britain.

This is not Robert’s first time on the program, as he did appear two years ago to some of the biggest applause in show history. As a matter of fact, Stewart joked then that there was a look in the audience eyes that if they were to “let their guard down,” the girls in the audience were going to come and drag the actor off of the stage. We can only imagine what will happen now.

The reason you can’t expect any questions to be asked here or on any other show is simple — Pattinson has never talked publicly about his dating life, and interviewers are probably going to be handed strict instructions not to talk about it.
