For the first time since news broke about the stunning affair between his girlfriend Kristen Stewart and her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, Robert Pattinson is going to be sitting down for a live TV interview where anything can happen. Where will the venue be? It’s none other than on “Good Morning America.”
A rep for Pattinson confirms to Us Weekly that he will be present for the show on August 15, but his primary purpose in being there surely is not going to be to talk about Stewart — rather, he will be on hand to promote his new film “Cosmopolis,” which arrives in theaters later this month. If this is like any other morning show interview, Pattinson’s people and the show will likely go over some of the subjects beforehand that couple be asked about — and while everyone may want to know how he is feeling and thinking, and if he and Stewart are going to stay together, we have a feeling this is a subject that Robert is not going to be so keen on talking about.
There is one thing that we can say pretty much for sure — “GMA” getting Pattinson for this interview is surely going to benefit them even more in their ongoing ratings battle with “The Today Show,” and it recently celebrated taking over the reigns as #1 for a week in the coveted news demographic of people aged 25-54. However, “Today” is back out ahead now courtesy of their ongoing coverage of the Olympics.
Do you think that anyone at “GMA” will be brave enough to ask Pattinson about the current state of his relationship? Be sure and share your thoughts below, and check out a recent viral video about the couple’s tumultuous past couple of weeks over at this link.
