On Monday, HBO released the official synopses for the final two episodes of “True Blood” this season, and based on what we are seeing now the early reports that we are going to see a “bloodbath” do appear to be very much accurate. We have a pretty strong feeling that not all of these characters are going to end up making it out alive, including some of them that we have grown to love and very much appreciate over the past few years.
Here are the two official descriptions, and you can check out a promo for these two episodes (plus the one airing Sunday) by watching the video below.
“Sunset” – Airing August 19
“Slipping further into religious fervor, Bill (Stephen Moyer) gives Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) an order she’s loath to carry out. Armed with a damning video of Russell (Denis O’Hare) and Steve (Michael McMillian), the military delivers an ultimatum to the Authority. Claude (Giles Matthey) and Maurella (Kristina Anapau) take Sookie (Anna Paquin) to meet the faerie elder, who may know something about an ancient family secret. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) reconnects with his father; Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) hitch a rideinto the Authority.”
“Save Yourself” – Airing August 26
“Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow the Authority – and save Bill from losing his humanity. Andy (Chris Bauer) faces the consequences of a light pact he made; Alcide readies for a second showdown with J.D. (Louis Herthum); Sam and Luna test their limits in trying to escape the Authority.”
Out of all the question marks out there at the moment concerning this show, some of the biggest ones have to pertain to Bill. Is he really going to portray everything he loves after he was brainwashed by Lilith? The only person who seems capable of stopping him is Eric, and we’re not even quite sure that he has the capabilities to do so.
