This show’s been stuck in a rut unworthy of its stellar talent for five seasons now. And you’re right, Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller should be free to explore other opportunities if Elementary doesn’t get its act together and quick. The show needs a major shakeup / jolt of new creative energy.

Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening. Looks like much more of the same credulity-stretching, exposition-filled crime of the week committed by a rich white male, with its usual zero character growth or stakes for its leads. Both Liu and Miller deserve much better material.
