If there was one reason to watch “Bachelor Pad” this season thus far, it is for the hilarity and supreme entertainment that Ed Swiderski is bringing to the show. He’s wacky, fun-loving, and only really seems to have one real rival at the moment in Reid Rosenthal — however, it looks like he could be changing his gameplan in some shape or form moving forward.
Speaking in a conference call with reporters this week to promote Monday night’s new episode, Ed had the following to say about just what we are going to see from him in terms of strategy moving forward:
“I think next week is going to be a turning point for me. I think that I go from me there for having fun to realizing that, ‘Wow, I could actually go pretty far in this thing and I could actually win money’. This is when I start taking it seriously. It’s a tough challenge and it was absolutely demoralising but I think I realized that I needed to step up my game or I was definitely going home.”
Ironically, we actually didn’t think that Ed was in much danger even before changing up his game — after all, a guy who jumps into the pool wearing his underwear is not exactly an enormous threat, whereas someone trying to make alliances and form secret deals could be someone to watch out for in the game long-term. Nonetheless, as one of the biggest names left in relation to the “Bachelor” franchise, it’s probably pretty important that Ed finds a way to stay put for a while longer.
