‘Glee’: New unseen videos highlight Lea Michele, Grant Gustin

Want some more in the way of “Glee” secret scenes? In his continued and very nice effort to try and give back to fans as much as he possibly can, co-creator Ryan Murphy has posted a pair of brand-new performances on his Twitter page from seasons past. One of them dates all the way back to when Rachel Berry was first dating Jesse St. James, while the other is from the Michael Jackson tribute episode earlier this year.

“Hello 12, Hello 13, Hello Love” – “A Chorus Line” is one of the greatest shows in Broadway history, so having this be a Rachel and Jesse number was a match made in “Glee” heaven. As for why this scene probably did not end up making the cut, our #1 guess is that there was simply not enough going on with it story-wise that justified its inclusion, especially when there is so much else on the show going on.

With that in mind, though, doesn’t this video make you secretly wish for Jesse to somehow find his way to NYADA? After you say “yes,” the sane part of your brain probably reminds you just how badly their relationship turned out.

“I Want You Back” – By the same token, this performance by Jesse St. James really didn’t bring anything new to the table when it comes to the story. We already knew during this episode that there was fury between Blaine and Sebastian even before the infamous “slushie” incident, though we will say that this does help to set up the “Smooth Criminal” battle more between Santana and Grant Gustin’s character a little later in the episode.

After watching these videos, is a part of you wishing that “Glee” would find a way to make their episodes longer?┬áTo check out some more news on a possible Lea Michele – Cory Monteith duet early on in season 4, be sure to read the story over here.
