‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, David Archuleta, Jessica Sanchez

Who wants to start their Saturday morning off with a little bit of dancing? This is where Adam Lambert — and our Saturday edition of “American Idol” notes — enters the picture.

A new remix – We’re not going to be hearing much from the season 8 star in the past week, primarily due to him going “off the grid” for a much-needed vacation following some concerts and international travel to promote his sophomore release “Trespassing.”

However, before he took off from his Twitter account Adam shared the R3hab Remix of “Never Close Our Eyes” — a mix that can be best described as “intense.” The best part of it occurs around the 1:50 mark, when the song breaks down into a funky and fun beat that is worthy of a little fist-pumping (or whatever your favorite go-to club dance move is).

We know that club music is not everyone’s cup of tea — but we’re glad that Adam’s music is finding his way in there.

David Archuleta talks “Be Still, My Soul” – David’s new album “BEGIN” — which consists of covers of some of his favorite tracks — is coming out on Tuesday, and as a way to promote it the season 7 star chose to record a number of videos before leaving on his two-year Mormon mission earlier this year.

In the clip below, you can see Archuleta explain why he wanted to include an expression of his faith on the album courtesy of “Be Still, My Soul” — a song that is clearly powerful and also perfectly suited for his voice.

Happy birthday to… – Jessica Sanchez! Considering just how fast her career has skyrocketed in the past year, it’s crazy to think that Jessica is still not old enough at 17 to even vote or work without certain restrictions as a minor. Nonetheless, some of her fellow season 12 touring pals — including Colton Dixon, Phillip Phillips’ girlfriend Hannah Blackwell, and even her own beau Deandre Brackensick have all shared some messages of love and support.
